Need Jeans For Spring? Check out In-Jean-Us!
Alright folks, spring is finally just around the corner! I don't know about all of you, but March is one of my favorite shopping months. The weather will be transitioning in the coming weeks--making it an ideal time to find that perfect pair of versatile jeans.
And lets face it, finding a great pair of jeans can be tough! Everyones body type is different- some of us are tall, short, hippy,hip-less, etc. The goal is finding a style of jeans that is flattering on you. One that accentuates your best features, and doesn't draw attention to those you wish to hide.
But is there a way to tell which jeans or brands will be flattering while on the rack? There is now! In-Jean-Us, located on Hanover St. is the answer to all things Jean! The boutique is a jean haven! And the stores owner, Alison, is a jean-guru. Seriously, she can take one look at you, grab 5 pairs of jeans, and they'll fit perfectly! I promise you'll end up buying at least one. She isn't pushy either, she'll tell you what looks good, what doesn't any why. It's like having your own personal stylist and your best friend with you at once!
The store carries all higher end brands from R&R, 7,True Religion, Hudson, etc. They have everything from skinny jeans, boyfriend, trouser-style, wide-leg, flares bootcut, you name it. In-Jean-Us also offers a selection of accessories and casual attire!
Alright, so I'm sure you're wondering about price. Name brands must be expensive, right? Well, here's the thing. I'm a bargain shopper myself. I refuse to spend a lot of money on any one article of clothing except jeans. There are several reasons for this. One, a good pair of jeans will last you a couple of years opposed to the couple of seasons a cheaper one would. They won't stretch, or fade. Two, you can wear them a couple times a week for the entire year and it's not weird. And three, if you look good, you'll feel good :)
That being said, In-Jean-Us is currently offering a 20% off coupon to all customers upon checkout. Winning!
Looking for something different to do with your friends? Consider this: GIRLS NIGHT OUT!
By popular demand, our customers have asked us to offer an evening of shopping fun! For parties of 8 or more enjoy wine, cheese & desserts with your friends in a relaxing shopping experience, where the store is yours!

The traditional restaurant week may be over, but plenty of restaurants in the North End are extending Boston's Restaurant Week. They will be offering prix fixe menus between March 27th (tomorrow!) and April 1st. This means you can still enjoy a 2-course lunch for $15, a 3-course lunch for $20, or a 3-course dinner for just $33. per person.

My Take on Yesterday's Parade in Southie..
Alright, so here goes..
I didn't post anything prior to the parade itself because I figured it was pretty much self-explanatory. It's an annual event in South Boston and it's pretty much one of the bigger drinking days of the year. As usual, everyone was decked in green clothing, with shamrock beads. Even people without a shred of Irish heritage, like myself.
The trouble is, in years passed I always had a friend with an apartment near by (she has since moved). That is essential when you're spending the entire day outside in 35 degree weather. I didn't take that into consideration this time, and as a result I was inappropriately not wearing a jacket!
So, I set out in search of a local bar on Broadway but everything was at capacity and I couldn't take much more of the crowd. The fact that the seafood convention was in town didn't make matters any easier. So I drove around, annoyed when finally I stumbled across a gem on the waterfront of South Boston!
... FUN NEW BAR ALERT....
Another Jerry Remy's has opened! I'm a big fan of the one by Fenway so I knew the food would be up to par. The place is big, and there was a good crowd but I was actually able to walk through without kicking my way through drunk people. I sat down at the bar, and ordered a beer and a Remy burger. When I looked up...I noticed I was sitting across from none other than Jerry Remy! So yes, I had a Remy burger across from Jerry Remy.
I'm not one to ask for pictures with celebrities, but I didn't hesitate when the girl next to me did :)
Check it out! I'm guessing it will be a hotspot during Red Sox Season!

You Deserve A Vacation!
As much as I love Boston, I have a serious case of the Travel Bug. Everyone needs to get away sometimes and studies have shown that people are happier spending money on experiences over material goods. The trouble is, we're college students. Coughing up the money for a flight, hotel, transportation, and food and beverages can be tough.
Thanks to Kayak.com, however, I've recently found an alternative to breaking the bank. As many of you know, Kayak is an international service that allows you to compare the rates of all discount travel companies like Orbitz, Hotels.com,etc. But in my searches, I have consistently found that www.cheapcarribean.com is almost always the cheapest.
I just returned from a fabulous four-night, five-day vacation in Jamaica. I stayed at the 4-star hotel, Riu in Montego Bay. My total rate of $833.00 (per person) included; flight, hotel, all inclusive food and drinks (including the mini bar in the room!), transportation to and from the airport, a free cataramaran cruise, and a $20. coupon to the spa! No hidden costs or extra fees! Cheap Carribean also provides an "SPF 100" plan with every reservation. This means should you even see a drop of rain, you earn $100 promo code toward your next trip!
It really is that simple. No fine print or anything. And the travel agents are more than helpful in providing information on local excursions and attractions. Also, the cheapest booking times are Tuesday nights and Wednesday mornings. Happy travels!

Restaurant Recommendation:
This place is the North End's hidden gem! It's tucked away on Commercial St, just behind the hustle and bustle of Hanover St! This allows for easy parking, and a relaxing meal on the waterfront!
Davide was recently featured on Gordon Ramsey's, Kitchen Nightmares. The world renowned chef has recently assisted in helping the owners revamp the whole restaurant, and develop a new menu!

St. Patricks Day Festival @ Harpoon Brewery this Weekend!
Yes! The annual St. Patricks Day Festival at Harpoon Brewery is right around the corner. I am beyond excited, as this is one of my favorite events of the entire season!
For those that haven't been to Harpoon Brewery-you're missing out! It is the largest brewery in Boston, and home to IPA, UFO, and the beer of the season, Celtic Ale. The festival will feature live Irish music from local rock bands, and offer Irish food, like corned beef and cabbage.
Tickets are $20. at the door, and will include a drink ticket and a souvenir pint cup.
Hours:
Friday March 4: 5:30-11:00pm (doors close @ 9:30)
Saturday March 5: 2:00-9:00pm (doors close @ 7:30)
RAIN OR SHINE!
As far as transportation goes, I would recommend taking the MBTA to South Station, where Harpoon will have free shuttles to the brewery coming on 15 minute intervals. This way everyone can relax and have a good time. But, if you do plan on driving- please be sure to designate a driver. Harpoon will offer complimentary virgin drinks for drivers that check in with customer service.
Oh, and don't forget to wear lots of green! People get decked for this--beads, shamrocks, hats, leprechaun shoes, whatever you can think of!
For more information on this festival, and all of Harpoon events and festivals, follow the link below.
