Sunday Brunch: Something For Everyone
There is no doubt about it, Sunday Brunch is my absolute favorite way to wind down the weekend! I've had the opportunity to check-out the best of what this city has to offer and the following are the best of the best (I promise!). Check them out...you won't be disappointed!
If you're looking for live music...
West End Johnnies- This popular nightclub transforms to host the greatest reggae brunch in the city on Sunday mornings. Located just behind the TD Garden, this restaurant is easily accessible from North Station and kid friendly. The menu offers a reasonably priced combination of lunch and breakfast items between 11am and 4pm. If you're looking for a casual, fun atmosphere, and music that is sure to have you dancing in your seat, check it out! http://www.westendjohnnies.com/
The Beehive- Located in the South End, The Beehive was voted a must see Boston venue by Travel & Leisure, Zagat, and the New York Times. It was also voted "one of the top 100 Jazz Clubs in the world" by Downbeat magazine. Come experience the Jazz Brunch held between 10:30am and 3:30pm every Sunday and see what all the hype is about! The Bohemian atmosphere, a la carte comfort food, and delicious cocktails make for a fantastic start to the day! http://www.beehiveboston.com/
The House of Blues- The House of Blues on Landsdowne St. hosts a world famous Gospel Brunch each Sunday morning. It is recommended to purchase your tickets ahead of time, as the seating begins at 11:00am and concludes at 1:00pm. Tickets are $40. for adults, and $18 for children over the age of 5 (prices include tax and gratuity). The inspiring performances, and amazing buffet are well worth the price of tickets! http://www.houseofblues.com/venues/clubvenues/boston/
Best Hotel Brunches..
Oceana at the Marriott Long Wharf- Oceana offers a casual dining atmosphere overlooking the Boston Harbor. Brunch is available from 11:30am-2:30pm each Sunday. The buffet offers everything from an array of simple breakfast items including; scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage to made-to-order omlettes and freshly prepared Belgian waffles. For carnivore lovers, don’t miss the roast turkey carving station, roast lamb and London broil. Expect phenomenal, attentive service and a complimentary mimosa included in the $29.00 per person price! *Please note-Parking is FREE for restaurant patrons!*http://marriottmodules.com/boston_marriott_long_wharf/oceana/
Champagne Rooftop Brunch at the Taj- This absolutely phenomenal, seasonal brunch is available from 10:30am to 2:30pm each Sunday from April 3- Novemeber 12th. In addition to the traditional brunch cuisine, Chef Prabeen Prathapan will spice things up a little with an Indian cuisine spread, and pastry chef Susan Lagelle will reward guests with a mouth-watering desert buffet, as well. It's unsurprising that this one is a bit of a splurge, costing around $66 for adults, and $30. for children. This includes unlimited Champagne, as many trips to the food stations as you can handle, and unlimited panoramic views of the city from the 17th floor of the gorgeous Taj Boston.
*Please note- this is ideal for a 'girls morning out', treating mom for mothers day, or a special Sunday date! ;)*

Cafe Fleuri at The Langham- Cafe Fleuri prides itself on being one of the most elaborate, and authentically local Sunday buffets in the city. Chef Mark Spienza has worked hard to develop a menu that incorporates all the fantastic tastes of New England! This includes a vast selection of local seafoods, meats, cheeses, and produce. Sit down, relax and enjoy the music of the Robert Rivera ensemble while dining in the sunlit atrium. Don't leave before visiting the Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar, as well as the world famous Chocolate bar! Yum! AquiTane- The premiere French Bistro of the South End! AquiTane is an award winning, Parisian-inspired restaurant. The menu and atmosphere are equally modern and sophisticated. AquiTane offers an extensive list of breakfast cocktails and made-to-order entrees. If you can get there between 10am and 11:00am, you can take advantage of their prixe-fixe brunch for just $9.95 a person! If not, be prepared to purchase each item individually. Bon Appetit!

The Paramount- The Paramount has been an integral part of the Beacon Hill neighborhood since 1937! Though the atmosphere is always changing, the food remains of consistent, high quality. This is a casual spot- the kind where you grab a tray and make your way through the line, and seat yourself. The juices are always freshly squeezed and it's always pretty busy and filled with chatter. Perfect for groups, couples, and families-come see why they were voted Best of Boston two years in a row!
